Current Concepts in Rotator Cuff Management

Abstract

Abstract

Rotator cuff tear management still has many aspects not supported by Level 1 evidence. Despite advances in surgery, there still remains a significant number of failed rotator cuff repairs which are probably on the basis of poor biology. A biological solution is therefore the next obvious approach to improving the outcomes. This paper looks at the most recent evidence based medicine and then touches on the biological approach from a molecular and cellular basis .
